Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Cream butter gradually
  2. Add sugar and cream well until light and fluffy
  3. Add egg yolks and blend well
  4. Add flour
  5. Gradually add nuts
  6. Spoon one half of dough in a greased 8" square pan spreading evenly
  7. Top with jam
  8. Cover with remaining batter
  9. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or lightly brown
  10. Cool
  11. Cut in small bars
