Vintage Recipes

Vintage Recipe Project is home to the largest collection of vintage and old-fashioned recipes online.

Our vintage recipes are documented and the “history of the box” is researched and shared when we are able to.

We have over 100,000 recipe cards and 100s of old cookbooks we are processing from our collection to share with you on our website.

The old recipes are from schools, church cookbooks, published cookbooks, manufacturer booklets, magazine cutouts, and of course our personal favorite… handwritten recipe cards.

Below are the recipes we have published to date for you to search and find your new favorite vintage recipe.

Please note, since we have so many recipes, we have to group them by categories and types.

Had a "Seafood Hodgepodge" that was mixed seafood, in an onion skin with puff pastry served with what I'd best describe as a sort of Newburg sauce, the recipe was purportedly served on the QE II, been l@@kin with limited success.

Also a seafood sausage recipe circa early 90's from Bon Appetit or like, featured salmon, lobster, scallops and spinach, was my 1st foray into charcuterie, made it around christmas and I'd like to recreate it from the original if possible.

I am trying to find a vintage Betty Crocker recipe. English Pastry was in the older books. It was great for pot pies. I used to have it and cannot find it.

Looking for Betty Crocker “Plum apple butter” from the 1976 orange boxed “step by step” card set. Card #696, section “cooking for keeps” flavourful fruit spreads. I’m desperate!
