Baked Shrimp Cheese Puff

Baked Shrimp Cheese Puff

Ingredients

  • 2 4 1/2 ounce cans of shrimp
  • 5 large sliced bread
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • Milk
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Drain shrimp and reserve liquid
  2. Remove the crust from the bread
  3. Cut the bread slices into 1/2" cubes
  4. Place half the cubes in 2 quart buttered baking dish
  5. Break shrimp into pieces, place half the shrimp over cubes
  6. Sprinkle with 1/2 the cheese and repeat layers except cheese
  7. Mix reserved liquid with milk to make 2 cups of liquid
  8. Add the eggs and seasonings
  9. Mix well
  10. Pour over baking dish
  11. Top with remaining cheese
  12. Bake at 300 degrees for 40 - 50 minutes
  13. Serve immediately

  • Tuna or salmon may be substituted
