Chunky Cheddar Chili

Chunky Cheddar Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 lb. can whole tomatoes
  • 15½ oz. can red kidney beans, rinsed, drained
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsps. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • 4 oz. Cheddar cheese, in ½-inch cubes

Instructions

  1. Brown beef and onion in large skillet; drain excess fat.
  2. Add remaining ingredients, except cheese.
  3. Cover and simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Top with cheese cubes to serve.
  5. Complete the meal with fresh vegetable relish tray, Creamy Cheddar Dip, rolls or bread with butter, and plenty of milk.

Notes

Serves 6.

I will use white beans, and short cut with a can of garlic chunky tomato sauce. I add the chili powder, And depending on flavor if it needs sugar. Then I use shredded cheese unless I don’t have time to shred it then I do cube it.
