Sausage Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 medium bunch celery, chopped
  • 2 packages chicken noodle soup mix
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 1/2 cups almonds, slivered

Instructions

  1. Fry sausage until crumbly but not brown
  2. Remove fat
  3. Add onions and celery
  4. Cook for about 10 minutes
  5. Cook soup mix with water for 9 minutes
  6. Add rice
  7. Stir in sausage mixture
  8. Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 350 degrees
  9. Top with almonds
