Wanda's Apple Dish
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 1½ cups flour
- ½ cup vegetable shortening
- ⅓ cup milk
- 2½ cups chopped apples
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Melt butter in 9 by 13-inch baking dish.
- Mix flour and vegetable shortening until crumbly.
- Stir in milk.
- Work dough and knead until firm enough to roll out into a rectangle.
- Put apples and cinnamon on dough and roll up.
- Cut like cinnamon rolls.
- Place in pan over melted butter.
- Boil sugar and water together. Pour sugar syrup over rolls.
- Bake in 350°F. oven for 55 minutes.
