Virginia Raisin Pie Recipe

- ½ cup sugar
- 2 eggs (save whites for meringue)
- ½ cup raisins
- ¾ cup milk
- 2 Tbs butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Stir sugar into milk and put in pan over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Beat egg yolks and then add a little of the warm milk to the eggs.
- Stir the eggs into the pan.
- Add raisins and when all is warm, add butter and vanila and put into partially baked eight-inch pie shell.
- Bake in 400° oven until egg is set.
- Let pie cool, then make meringue.
