That Big White Cake

That Big White Cake

Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 6 egg whites
  • 1 cup milk
  • 6 cups flour
  • 9 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange juice

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar
  2. Add flour and milk alternatively
  3. Add flavoring and salt
  4. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites with baking powder
  5. Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees if in layers
