Texas Sheet Cake

Texas Sheet Cake

Ingredients

Bring to boil:

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 T. cocoa (¼ cup)

Remove from heat.

Mix together:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ t. salt
  • 1 t. soda

Icing

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4 T cocoa (¼ cup)
  • 6 T. milk (¼ cup plus 1 T.)

Remove from heat & beat in:

  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Add cooked mixture to flour mixture & bake in a jelly roll pan at 385° for 20 min (or slightly longer).
