Swiss Steak Recipe

- 2-2½ lb. steak
- ½ cup flour
- 1 t salt
- dash of pepper
- ¼ cup shortening melted
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 large cloves
- garlic minced
- 2 cans (2½ cups) Cambells Tomato Soup
- Pound flour and seasonings into meat with the edge of a heavy saucer until flour is absorbed.
- Brown steak in hot shortening in an oven pan or skillet.
- Add onions, garlic, and cook until ____.
- Blend in soup; cover.
- Cook in a moderate oven (350°F) about 1½ hours, or until meat is tender.
