Strawberry Pie

Strawberry Pie (VRP 001)

Ingredients

  • 1 quart strawberries (save 1 cup for glaze)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 pie shell, baked

Instructions

  1. Simmer 1 cup of strawberries in the water for 3 - 4 minutes
  2. Sift sugar and cornstarch
  3. Add sugar and cornstarch to the cooked strawberries and cook until thick
  4. Add lemon juice
  5. Arrange uncooked strawberries in a baked pie crust
  6. Pour cooked strawberry glaze over the uncooked strawberries
