Steak and Taters

Steak and Taters

Cook Time: 1 hour
Total Time: 1 hour


  • 1 1/2 pounds round steak
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper
  • Fat
  • 1 1 /2 cup water
  • 2 medium onions, peeled and sliced
  • 4 - 6 medium potatoes, pared and sliced


  1. Coat meat in flour, salt, and pepper
  2. Brown in fat until lightly brown
  3. Drain and add meat to baking casserole dish
  4. Peel and slice potatoes (thinly sliced) and layer on top of steak
  5. Slice onions and layer on top of potatoes
  6. Add left over flour to fat with water to make gravy
  7. Pour over casserole.
  8. Cover and cook at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
