Southern Pecan Pie Recipe


  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup white corn syrup
  • ½ cup evaporated milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1¼ cups chopped pecans or pecan halves
  • 1 (9 inches) unbaked pie crust


  1. In mixer bowl, slightly beat eggs.
  2. Add sugar, corn syrup, evaporated milk and vanilla.
  3. Bake in 400-degree oven for 10 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake an additional 30 to 40 minutes, or until filling is puffed in center and is well browned.
  5. Let pie cool before slicing.
