Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Cook Time: 1 hour
Total Time: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped fine
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup oleo, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Great a 9" or 10" tube pan
  3. In a small bowl combine nuts, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup sugar - set aside
  4. In a large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat 1 cup sugar with the oleo until light and fluffy
  5. Sift the flour, baking powder, and baking soda
  6. Add the flour mixture, vanilla, and sour cream
  7. Beat at low speed until blended while constantly scraping bowl
  8. Beat at medium speed for at least 3 minutes
  9. Spread 1/2 the cake batter in pan
  10. Sprinkle with 1/2 the nut mixture
  11. Spread evenly with remaining batter
  12. Sprinkle with remaining nut mixture
  13. Bake for 60 - 65 minutes or until cake pulls away from pan
  14. Cool in pan on wire rack
  15. Remove cake from pan and cool
