So Easy Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ⅓ cup shortening
  • ⅓ cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1½ cups Pillsbury's Best All Purpose Flour
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, cream ¾ cup sugar, shortening, oil, milk, almond extract and egg until light and fluffy.
  2. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Gradually blend in flour, baking powder and salt at low speed until well mixed.
  3. Spread evenly in ungreased 15x10-inch jelly roll pan; sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sugar.
  4. Bake at 375°F. for 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown.
  5. Cool 5 minutes; cut into cookies.

Notes

HIGH ALTITUDE - Above 3500 Feet: Reduce baking powder to 1 teaspoon.
