  • If the dough is too dry or crumbles, SLOWLY add water until the consistency is what you want.
  • This is a normal recipe yet I ran out of the cinnamon sugar coating and had to make a second batch.

Snickerdoodles Recipe

Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes



  • 1 cup shortening [or oleo]
  • 1½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten


  • 2¾ cup flour
  • 2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt


  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon


  1. Blend all together.
  2. Make balls size of walnut and roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
  3. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Bake 350° - 10 to 15 minutes
