Rhubarb Cake Recipe

- 2⅓ cup flour
- 1 teasp salt
- 1 teasp baking soda
- 1½ cups brown sugar
- ¼ cup oleo
- 1 cup sour cream or buttermilk
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 teasp vanilla
- 2½-4 cups rhubarb
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ teasp nutmeg
- Mix all ingred. together
- Bake in 9x13 greased pan at 350° for 45 minutes
- Sprinkle on top before baking with ¼ cup gran sugar, chopped nuts and cinnamon (see back.)
- For topping use Helen [Hines'] recipe for coffee cake - mix ½ stick of oleo, 1 cup flour, ½ cup brown sugar, ¼ cup gran sugar.
- Use ½ cup of this mixture and add ¼ cup chopped nuts to sprinkle on top.
