I'm so happy to have found your site. I love vintage recipes and I'm excited to try some of your finds. I think the recipes from a newspaper, as well as the clipping, probably came from The Des Moines Register. It was the only Sunday paper when I was growing up in Iowa. My grandmother always clipped recipes from the paper. Also, the "La" isn't a typo-Ft Polk is an Army installation in Lousiana, so La is the abbreviation for the correct state.
