I love vintage dishes and kitchenware and on the weekends I can often be found in a thrift store poking through the shelves to find vintage treasures to use as props for our photography for the site. Click here to view Vintage Kitchenware on Etsy.

Every once and a while you can find a good cookbook with Vintage Recipes on Amazon. I don’t have any recommendations as I haven’t bought any as I prefer the handwritten recipes that you see on our site.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages of Lemon ___
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 cup grape concentrated
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 8 dates
  • 2 whole peaches
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 2 __ grated orange rind
  • sections of 1 orange
  • 1 cup stiff whipping cream
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dressing

Instructions

  1. Dissolve 2 pkgs. of lemon ____ in 1 cup boiling H2O.
  2. Add 1 cup pineapple ju, 1 cup grape concentrated, ¼ cup lemon ju, ¼ cup almonds, 8 dates, 2 whole peaches, ½ cup raisins, 2 __ grated orange rind & sections of 1 orange.
  3. Put some of the liq. in the bottom of the mould, then build up layers of fruit.
  4. Serve 1 cup stiff w. cream, 1 cup cottage [cheese] & [1 t.] dressing.
