Pineapple Flop Cake

Pineapple Flop Cake

Ingredients

Pineapple Flop Cake

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 2 t soda
  • dark salt
  • 1 [12 oz] can crushed pineapple & juice

Icing

  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 t ____
  • 1 cup [sour] milk
  • 1 cup angel flake coconut

Instructions

Pineapple Flop Cake

  1. Mix together 2 cups flour, 1½ cup sugar, 2 t soda, dark salt.
  2. Blend in by hand 1 - [12 oz] can crushed pineapple including juice.
  3. Pour into oblong pan or 2 square pans.
  4. Bake 325° for 35 minutes
  5. Leave cake in pan - ice while warm.

Icing Cake

  1. Mix together in sauce pan. 1½ cup sugar, 1 stick margarine, 2 t. ____, 1 cup [sour] milk, 1 cup angel flake coconut.
  2. Boil 4 min.
  3. Pour over cake.
