Pecan Caramel Cream Squares

Pecan Caramel Cream Squares


  • 16 vanilla caramels
  • 24 large marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 4 tablespoon oleo, melted


  1. Put caramels, marshmallows, and milk in top of double boiler
  2. Place over but not touching the boiling water
  3. Cook stirring occasionally until mixture is melted and smooth, about 25 minutes
  4. Remove from heat and cool
  5. Stir in pecans and whipped cream
  6. Fold in the caramel mixture
  7. Combine the graham crackers and oleo
  8. Reserve 1/4 cup crumb mixture and press remainder into the bottom of 10" x 6" x 2" baking dish
  9. Turn caramel mixture into dish and sprinkle with remaining crumbs
  10. Chill several hours or overnight
