Peach Basket Turnover

Ingredients
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup hot water
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large can sliced peaches, drained
Instructions
- Beat egg yolks until lemon colored
- Add 1/2 cup sugar and beat light and fluffy
- Add hot water gradually
- Add balance of sugar
- Beat for 5 minutes
- Fold in stiffly beaten egg white
- Mix and sift dry ingredients
- Mix in salt
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and peaches
- Add vanilla and peaches
- Pour into greased baking dish and pour cake batter over top
- Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes
- Leave in pan 5 minutes
- Serve with cream
