Oven Browned Chicken

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • 6-8 chicken parts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Place stick of butter in a 13x9-inch baking pan; melt in oven.
  3. Combine flour and all of the seasonings in a paper bag.
  4. Add chicken parts, one at a time, and shake bag to coat them evenly.
  5. Dip both sides of chicken in melted butter in pan.
  6. Place chicken parts in a single layer, skin side down in pan.
  7. Bake 30 minutes.
  8. Turn chicken skin side up; bake until tender, about 25 minutes.
