Old Fashioned Raisin Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sun-Maid seedless Nectars
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • Pastry for double 9-inch crust

Instructions

  1. Combine raisins and water and boil 5 minutes.
  2. Blend sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt.
  3. Add to hot raisins and cook and stir until clear.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vinegar and butter.
  5. Cool slightly.
  6. Turn into pastry-lined pan.
  7. Cover with top pastry or lattice strips.
  8. Bake in hot oven (425 degrees F.) 30 to 35 minutes.
