Nut Bread Recipe

- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt, sifted with flour
- Let stand 1/2 hour and bake 40 minutes
