Mothers White Icing (VRP 034)

Mothers White Icing
 
Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 6 marshmallows, cut into small pieces
  • 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
Instructions
  1. Dissolve sugar and water over low heat
  2. Bring to a boil and boil without stirring until a small amount dropped in cold water forms a soft ball
  3. Remove from heat
  4. Add marshmallows and allow to melt
  5. Pour mixture slowly over stiffly beaten egg whites beating constantly
  6. Add lemon juice
