Miracle Whip Cake
Miracle Whip Cake Recipe Card Details
This very popular recipe for Miracle Whip Cake has seen a few rounds in the kitchen as you can see by the aging and kitchen splats.
Mayonnaise was invented in 1756 and Miracle Whip was invented in 1933 as a cheaper alternative to mayonnaise.
The earliest known “Mayonnaise Cake” was in 1927.
Adding mayonnaise or Miracle Whip to a cake is an old “trick” to make your cake incredibly moist.
When you use either you normally don’t have to add eggs or oil to your recipe as the Miracle Whip or mayonnaise is a substitute.
