Mince Meat
COOK’S NOTES
- This is the filling for a mincemeat pie without instruction for the crust or baking instructions.
- This is A LOT of ingredients by volume so a very large baking pan is needed.
- The author doesn’t have any instructions other than bake until apples are done.

Mince Meat Recipe (VRP 001)
Ingredients
- 5 pounds apples, chopped
- 2 pounds round steak
- 2 pounds currants
- 1 pound beef suet
- 1 pound chopped raisins
- 1 pound whole raisins
- 2 1/2 pounds brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon cloves
- 1 tablespoon allspice
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon nutmeg
- 1 quart or more of cider
Instructions
- Cook until apples are done
