Milk Chocolate Florentine Cookies Recipe

- 2/3 cup oleo or butter
- 2 cups oats
- 1 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Melt the butter in a saucepan
- Remove from heat
- Stir in oats, sugar, flour, corn syrup, milk, vanilla, and salt
- Mix well
- Drop by level top 3" apart onto foil lined cookie sheet
- Bake at 375 degrees for 5 - 7 minutes
- Cool on cookie sheet on wire rack
- Remove cookies from foil and top 1/2 of the cookies with melted chocolate
- Top the chocolate with remaining cookies to create a chocolate cookie sandwich
