Marshmallow Brownies

Marshmallow Brownies

Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes


  • 1 1/2 cups butterscotch pieces
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup small marshmallows
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts


  1. Grease 9" square pan
  2. Melt butterscotch pieces and butter in a small saucepan stirring constantly
  3. Cool to lukewarm
  4. Transfer mixture to medium size bowl
  5. Add vanilla, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla, and egg to the above mixture
  6. Stir well
  7. Fold marshmallows, chocolate pieces, and walnuts into mixture
  8. Spread mixture in pan
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes
  10. The center will be jiggly and will become firm upon cooling
  11. Cut into squares when cool
