Lemon Sauce Cake


  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 pint whipped cream
  • 1 Angel Food Cake
  • Coconut


  1. 1 egg beaten, 1 cup sugar, 2 level T flour, 2 T water, and stir.
  2. Add ¼ cup lemon juice & grated rind of 1 lemon.
  3. Cook, stirring until thick.
  4. When cool add ½ pint whipped cream.
  5. Take 1 angel food cake and slice through center, making 2 layers.
  6. Ice with above sauce and sprinkle with coconut.
