Leche Quemada Recipe

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup canned milk
- 1 cup pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon butter flavoring
- Combine one cup granulated sugar, one-half cup of water and one cup of canned milk in a sauce pan.
- Bring mixture to a boil stirring constantly.
- Boil to soft ball stage (236 degrees F. by candy thermometer.)
- Remove from heat and add one cup of pecans and one-fourth teaspoon butter flavoring.
- Drop from tablespoon onto wax paper.
- Let candy cool.
