Kris Kringles
Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup cream (evaporated milk)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon, ground
- 1 teaspoon cloves, ground
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- 4 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
Instructions
- Cream shortening, sugar, and eggs
- Add vanilla and milk
- Sift dry ingredients together
- Mix together
- Add nuts
- Pack in bowl and cover
- Chill overnight
- Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes
