Hungarian Paper Thin Pastry
Ingredients
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 5 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions
- Beat egg yolks until creamy
- Add the water and vinegar
- Sift flour, salt, and sugar
- Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture
- Beat well with spoon and place into the refrigerator for 1 hour
- Roll out and spread with 1 pound Crisco
- Foll 4 ways and put into the refrigerator for 1 hour
- Repeat the same process for 3 times
- Roll out as think as you like
- Cut and fill with any thin filling
- Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes
