Hungarian Paper Thin Pastry
Yield: 6 - 7 dozen

Hungarian Paper Thin Pastry

Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes


  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar


    1. Beat egg yolks until creamy
    2. Add the water and vinegar
    3. Sift flour, salt, and sugar
    4. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture
    5. Beat well with spoon and place into the refrigerator for 1 hour
    6. Roll out and spread with 1 pound Crisco
    7. Foll 4 ways and put into the refrigerator for 1 hour
    8. Repeat the same process for 3 times
    9. Roll out as think as you like
    10. Cut and fill with any thin filling
    11. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes
