Homemade Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 2 Tbls. flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 4 cups light Cream or Half & Half
  • 4 tsp. "Adams Best" (Vanilla)

Instructions

  1. Scald milk.
  2. Combine beaten eggs, sugar, flour and salt.
  3. Add to milk.
  4. Cook in a double boiler until custard forms. (Approximately 15 minutes). Cool. Add light cream and "Adams Best."

Notes

Makes 1 Gallon Vanilla
