Homemade Cream Soup

Homemade Cream Soup


  • 1 cup nonfat dried milk powder
  • 1 tbsp dried onion flakes
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp chicken bouillon powder
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp black pepper


  1. COmbine all ingredients.
  2. This is a dry mix that can be stored in an airtight container & kept on hand until it's needed.
  3. When you are ready for soup, add two cups cold water & cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  4. If the soup is too thick add water to thin.
  5. For cream of mushroom soup, add sliced mushrooms a few minutes before removing from the stove.
