Heavenly Hash Bars
Ingredients
Bars
- 1/2 cup oleo
- 4 eggs
- 1 pound can of chocolate syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 10 1/2 ounce bag small marshmallows
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Topping
- 3 1 ounce squares chocolate, unsweetened
- 1 cup oleo
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups confectioners sugar
Instructions
Bars
- Preheat over to 350 degrees
- Cream butter and sugar
- Add the eggs one at a time beating well after each addition
- Add the chocolate syrup and vanilla
- Sift together the flour and baking powder
- Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture beating well
- Line a 9" x 13" baking pan with foil
- Pour the batter into the baking pan and bake for 30 minutes [350 degrees?]
- Remove from oven and immediately cover with marshmallows and pecans
- Set aside for 1 hour
Topping
- Melt chocolate and butter
- Let cool
- Add vanilla, eggs, and confectioners sugar
- Beat until smooth
- Spoon topping onto cake
- Set in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes and then refrigerate until serving time
- Cut into 48 bars
