Hamburger Pie Recipe

Hamburger Pie
Yield: 6 servings

Hamburger Pie

Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can green beans, drained
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon oregano
  • Pie crust for top and bottom


  1. Brown ground beef with the chopped onion and drain off fat
  2. Add green beans, tomato soup, and seasonings
  3. Line a 9" pie pan with bottom crust
  4. Fill with hamburger mixture
  5. Top with upper pie crust
  6. Flute edges and make 4 gashes in the center
  7. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees
  8. Let cool 5 minutes before serving

So glad I found this. My great grandma used to make this for us when I was little and I couldn't place the entire recipe by memory. She hasn't cooked in years and didn't remember the recipe. Im making this tonight. Thanks a bunch

I’ve been making this hamburger pie for over 40 years. I cut the recipe out of the newspaper. It’s a good go-to dinner .
