The recipe starts out with “as many noodles as 2 eggs will make.” Wow, making your own noodles takes some time so I changed up the recipe below to include store-bought noodles as an option.

Ground Pork and Tomato Casserole

Ingredients

  • Homemade noodles (or store bought egg noodles)
  • 2 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 cups (or cans) of tomatoes
  • Seasoning
  • 1 pound ground pork (not sausage)
  • Cheese

Instructions

  1. Fry the chopped onions lightly in the butter
  2. Add 1 cup cold water, tomatoes, and seasoning
  3. Fry the ground pork about 1/2 hour
  4. Place the ingredients in a baking dish and cover with cheese
  5. Cook in medium oven (350 degrees) for 2 hours
