Grape Russe
Ingredients
- [1t.] of geleton
- ¼ cup of cold grape juice
- ½ cup of whipping cream
Instructions
- Dissolve gelaton in cold grape juice.
- Add ½ cup of sugar to ½ cup of hot grape juice.
- Then add gelaton to hot grape juice, with lemon juice
- Let cool, then add stiffly beaten egg white, beat until it holds it's shape.
- Put it in pan of cold water for beating.
- Fold in whipped cream, ½ cup.
- Put lady fingers, or vanilla wafers, or sponge cake in sherbet glasses put in ice box and chill.
- Serve with whipped cream on top.
