Fudge Squares Recipe

- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup butter
- 2 squares chocolate
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup broken nuts
- 3 eggs
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. baking powder
- Sift and measure flour, chop nuts, put chocolate in top of double boiler, melt.
- Add butter, remove from fire.
- Beat eggs well, beat sugar in, combine flour, salt, and baking powder, add chocolate and butter to egg mixture.
- Add chopped nuts and extract. Pour into greased floured sheet pan ½ inch thick.
- Bake 20 to 30 min. 350.
- Cut in sq. while warm.
