Frosted Pecans Recipe

- ½ cup dairy sour cream
- 1½ cups sugar
- 1½ teaspoons vanilla
- 3 cups pecan halves
- Combine sour cream, sugar, and vanilla in a 2-quart heavy saucepan.
- Cook to soft ball stage (234 degrees), stirring frequently to prevent scorching.
- Add pecans and stir to coat.
- Turn onto a buttered baking sheet and separate with 2 forks.
- Package and freeze in airtight containers, if you like.
Makes about 1¼ pounds.
