Every once and a while you can find a good cookbook with Vintage Recipes on Amazon. I don’t have any recommendations as I haven’t bought any as I prefer the handwritten recipes that you see on our site.

Ingredients

  • Perch fillets
  • Egg
  • Carnation milk
  • Cracker meal
  • Lard

Sauce

  • 1 bottle Fowl & Fish premium sauce (lashes)
  • Salad Dressing - ¼qt?,
  • Horse Radish - drained.

Instructions

  1. Use fresh perch fillets - clean, wash, drain.
  2. Dip in mixture of egg & Carnation milk
  3. Roll in cracker meal
  4. Heat lard to bubbling (tail in first to see if sizzle)
  5. (enough lard to cover fish - "fry" until fish "float".)
  6. Drain on paper towels.
