Every once and a while you can find a good cookbook with Vintage Recipes on Amazon. I don’t have any recommendations as I haven’t bought any as I prefer the handwritten recipes that you see on our site.

Fast n Fabulous Fudge

Fast n Fabulous Fudge

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons oleo
  • 2/3 cup undiluted canned milk
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup Karo light syrup
  • 8 ounces Baker's semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Walnut halves
  • Angel flake coconut

Instructions

  1. In a 2 quart saucepan combine the oleo, milk, sugar, and corn syrup
  2. Stir constantly over medium heat until mixture comes to a full rolling boil
  3. Stir constantly and cook for 5 minutes
  4. Remove from heat
  5. Break chocolate squares into halves and add with the marshmallows, chopped walnuts, and vanilla
  6. Stir rigorously for 1 minutes or until chocolate and marshmallows are melted
  7. Pour into a buttered 8" x 8" x 2" pan
  8. Decorate with walnut halves and / or coconut
  9. Chill in refrigerator about 1 hour
