Dill Pickles Recipe

- 1 1/2 cups salt water
- Grape leaves
- 5 quarts water
- 1 quart vinegar
- 1 cup salt
- Little alum
- Soak 100 pickling cucumbers in salt water overnight
- Dry cucumbers
- Pack with a layer of grape leaves and a little garlic
- Boil together the water, vinegar, salt, and alum
- Pour over cucumbers
