Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 pound butter
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 4 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients except the nuts in a heavy saucepan
  2. Cook for 20 minutes stirring constantly after the boil is reached
  3. Add the pecans and continue cooking until mixture forms a soft balls when dropped in cold water
  4. Arrange several sheets of wax paper over layers of newspaper
  5. Stir the praline mixture well
  6. Drop by tablespoons on the wax paper
  7. Let cool then stack the pralines in airtight container with wax paper between layers
