Creamed Fresh Corn

Creamed Fresh Corn


  • 4 ears fresh corn
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ cup butter or margarine
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • ⅓ to ½ cup whipping cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt


  1. Cut corn from cob, scraping cob to remove the pulp.
  2. Combine corn and sugar; chill 1 hour.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Add corn; cook 1 minute.
  5. Stir in pepper.
  6. Gradually add whipping cream.
