From the box owner’s nephew, we know that his aunt traveled all over the United States due to her husband’s job as a park ranger.

Using Ancestry.com I found that Ethel lived in Erie, Pennsylvania so their paths must have crossed when they lived there.

Crazy Coconut Pie

Crazy Coconut Pie

Cook Time: 45 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 stick oleo, melted
  • 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 4 ounces Baker's coconut
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Mix all together and add to greased 8" x 8" x 2" pan
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 - 45 minutes
