Christmas Plum Pudding Recipe

Christmas Plum Pudding
Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted cake flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup dates, chopped
- 1/2 cup seedless raisins
- 1/2 cup currants
- 1/4 cup sliced citron
- 1/4 cup candied cherries, chopped
- 1/4 cup nuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup apple, chopped
- 1/2 cut suet, chopped
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Sift together the cake flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg
- Sift 1/2 cup of the flour mixture over dates, raisins, currents, citron, cherries, and nuts
- Mix well
- Combine apples, suet, molasses, egg, and milk
- Add to the dry ingredients
- Beat thoroughly
- Add to floured fruits and nuts
- Fill large greased mold 2/3 full
- Steam for 3 hours
- Unmold on ____ plate
- Cover
