Christmas Plum Pudding

Christmas Plum Pudding

Cook Time: 3 minutes
Total Time: 3 minutes


  • 2 cups sifted cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup dates, chopped
  • 1/2 cup seedless raisins
  • 1/2 cup currants
  • 1/4 cup sliced citron
  • 1/4 cup candied cherries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup apple, chopped
  • 1/2 cut suet, chopped
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk


  1. Sift together the cake flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg
  2. Sift 1/2 cup of the flour mixture over dates, raisins, currents, citron, cherries, and nuts
  3. Mix well
  4. Combine apples, suet, molasses, egg, and milk
  5. Add to the dry ingredients
  6. Beat thoroughly
  7. Add to floured fruits and nuts
  8. Fill large greased mold 2/3 full
  9. Steam for 3 hours
  10. Unmold on ____ plate
  11. Cover
