Every once and a while you can find a good cookbook with Vintage Recipes on Amazon. I don’t have any recommendations as I haven’t bought any as I prefer the handwritten recipes that you see on our site.

Chocolate Pinwheels
Yield: 8 dozen

Chocolate Pinwheels

Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

Combine and beat thoroughly-

  • ½ cup spry
  • ¾ tsp. salt
  • 1 unbeaten egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Sift -

  • 1½ cups flour
  • ½ tsp. soda

Instructions

  1. Divide dough in half.
  2. Add 1½ oz. melted chocolate.
  3. Roll to ½" thickness.
  4. Place chocolate sheet on top of vanilla.
  5. Roll up.
  6. Chill in refrigerator overnight.
  7. Cut, bake in 375 F. 8-10 minutes.
